The ULPGC Geoportal was created in 2018 as part of the activities of the PLASMAR project, which promoted the collection of data that could be used to support marine spatial planning. The objective was focused on the marine part and coastal strip of the archipelagos of Madeira, Azores and Canary Islands, obtaining more than 500 relevant datasets from multiple and varied providers.
